Red Wings announcer Budd Lynch dies

A LIFE REMEMBERED

Longtime Detroit Red Wings public address announcer Budd Lynch has died.

Officials with the team confirmed Tuesday the Hockey Hall of Fame announcer died earlier in the day. He was 95.

He was inducted into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame in 2005 and received the Ty Tyson Award for Excellence in Sports Broadcasting issued by the Detroit Sports Broadcasters Association.
